Vehicle Batteries can be dropped off at Council’s Yeppoon Landfill or a Transfer Station.
All batteries contain dangerous metals and chemicals. If sent to Landfill these can leak and contaminate soil and groundwater. Dropping off batteries to a specialised battery collection point ensures these metals are recovered and cannot cause environmental damage.
