Fairy lights can’t go into the kerbside recycling bin because they’re electronic and long and stringy and will get caught in the conveyer belts at the Material Recovery Facility and cause damage. They can be taken to a Council Waste Facility and recycled as eWaste. Otherwise they need to be disposed of in the kerbside general waste red or green lidded bin.
