eVouchers - Important Information & Conditions of Use
Important eVoucher Information & Conditions of Use
How do I get my eVoucher?
You download it from the Livingstone Waste Wise App (phone or tablet) using the
Assessment Number (first 6 digits) and Property Address as printed on your
General Rates notice after 1 August 2023. This video is a guide to help you
download the App https://www.livingstone.qld.gov.au/livingstone-waste-wise-app
[https://www.livingstone.qld.gov.au/livingstone-waste-wise-app]; the App is free
to download NOW. The eVouchers are valid for domestic customers only. If you are
a Landlord, please pass on the eVouchers to your tenants. This will assist them
to keep your property clean and tidy.
My Property is Vacant Land, do I get eVouchers?
Under Council's Waste Voucher Procedure, adopted on 19 April 2022, only
eligible ratepayers with habitable dwellings on their properties will be issued
with the eVoucher entitlement.
What do the eVouchers entitle me to?
The eVouchers are valid for the disposal of self-hauled general domestic waste
and uncontaminated green waste at Livingstone Shire Council Waste Facilities.
Byfield and Stanage Bay Transfer Stations do not accept green waste. Commercial
customers cannot use the eVouchers and relevant charges apply, as per Council’s
Fees and Charges.
How do I use my eVouchers?
When you arrive at Council’s Yeppoon Landfill or one of the Waste Transfer
Stations just show your eVoucher on your device to the Attendant, similar to
check in at the airport. The Attendant will assess your load and advise of the
number of eVouchers required.*
*ONE eVoucher - sedan, station wagon, green waste load.
*TWO eVouchers - trailer, ute, flat-top, van.
*THREE eVouchers - large trailer, small trailer or ute fitted with load
enhancers or extended sides.
*This is a guide only and the gatehouse attendant’s decision is FINAL. The App
records how many eVouchers you’ve used.
Are there types of waste I can’t use my eVouchers for?
eVouchers cannot be used for the disposal of tyres, mattresses, asbestos, solar
panels, refrigerators, air conditioners, regulated waste or commercial waste.
These items will continue to incur a cost for disposal as per Council’s Fees and
Charges.
What if I don’t have a smart device to download the App?
You can print your eVouchers from Council’s website or drop into our Customer
Support office at Yeppoon or Emu Park and we can print the vouchers for you. The
vouchers will not be posted to you in the mail. If you decide to print and lose
your paper vouchers they can be reprinted, each unique eVoucher can only be used
once.
If I rent a property, how do I get my eVouchers?
Waste eVouchers are only issued to property owners; therefore, you will need to
contact the Property Owner or Real Estate Agent and request that they download
the eVouchers (via the Livingstone Waste Wise App or Councils website) and
send/email you a link or photo of the eVouchers.
What if I am unable to contact my landlord?
Under the Privacy Act Council is only able to provide the eVouchers to the
Property Owner. You will need to contact your landlord/Real Estate as you would
for any other property maintenance issue.
Can two (2) different Property Owners (e.g. husband & wife) use the same
eVoucher on their devices?
Both Property Owners can download the eVouchers onto their individual devices,
however, each eVoucher can only be used once.
I have used all my eVouchers, how do I get more?
eVouchers are available to be downloaded each year. Council has allocated ten
(10) eVouchers per household and these can be used from 1 July to 30 June each
year. Your next allocation will be able to be downloaded on 1 July of the next
financial year. Council provides these eVouchers to assist with the costs of
waste disposal at waste facilities.
What if I don’t have enough eVouchers for my load?
If you run out of allocated eVouchers for the financial year, all loads going
forward will need to be paid for.
I have just purchased a property in Livingstone how do I get some eVouchers?
You can contact Council and our Customer Support team will lodge a Customer
Request with your details. A member of our Waste Services team will calculate
the number of eVouchers available for the remainder of the year on a pro rata
basis and advise you how to navigate the next steps via the App. You may need to
provide proof of ownership if the property has not transferred to your name yet.
I have gone to a Waste Facility and was advised I’ve used all my eVouchers, I
don’t believe I have used them all?
You can track your eVoucher history anytime via the App.
What happens if my device breaks or I change devices, how do I get more
eVouchers?
You just need to download the App again on your new device and all the eVouchers
you had remaining will be available to use.
I own multiple properties, can I download the eVouchers for multiple properties
on the one (1) device?
Yes you can. The assessment number and the property address on your General
Rates notice is a unique property identifier.
How do I check if my property is eligible to receive eVouchers?
eVouchers are available for residential properties and primary producers with a
dwelling on their property. If an attempt to download your eVouchers is
unsuccessful (and you believe you qualify) then please contact our Customer
Support team who will check the eligibility of your property.
Will the eVouchers automatically reissue in my App every year?
No - You will need to re-download the eVouchers annually. The number of
eVouchers allocated is determined by Councillors annually as part of their
budget deliberation.
What should I do with the recyclables in my load?
Recyclables must be separated from your load and disposed of for free at the
Landfill or Transfer Station prior to using eVouchers. This helps to reduce
recyclable materials being sent to Landfill unnecessarily. Remember to ‘Sort
your Load and Save’ money and the number of eVouchers you use each time you
visit a Waste Facility.
Can I trade my eVouchers in if I don’t use them?
No. eVouchers cannot be redeemed or used as a form of payment for any other
Council services.
